Guests say

Bloom Lodge receives high praise for its peaceful, private setting and well-equipped, spotless lodges, making it ideal for couples and those seeking relaxation. Guests consistently highlight the friendly staff, quality on-site dining, and the added luxury of private hot tubs. While a few minor issues such as occasional maintenance problems, flies, and rare drainage odours were mentioned, these did not detract significantly from the overall positive experience. Thoughtful touches like welcome packs and occasional gifts are appreciated, though not guaranteed. The location is convenient for exploring Skegness and surrounding areas, with many guests eager to return.

Most guests found the lodges exceptionally clean and well-prepared, with only a handful noting issues such as cobwebs, flies, or minor oversights. The majority of reviews praise the spotless condition of the accommodation.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, private, and conveniently close to Skegness and local attractions. Guests appreciate the countryside views and easy access to nearby amenities.

Guests generally found the lodges cosy and comfortable, with special mention of the beds, spacious bathrooms, and private hot tubs. A few noted minor issues with bed size or pillows, but overall comfort remains a strong point.

Facilities such as hot tubs, kitchens, and dog-friendly features are highly valued. Some guests experienced maintenance issues (e.g., hot tub temperature, WiFi, fridge), but these were exceptions rather than the rule.

Guests appreciated welcome packs, dog treats, and occasional gifts like chocolates, though these are not guaranteed. Staff are frequently described as friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience.

Fab place, this was our second visit and it won’t be our last. A perfect getaway for couples.

Prior to arrival and on arrival, the service from reception was excellent. Georgina in particular was very helpful, answering all my questions and being responsive throughout. We were also able to check in early, which was very much appreciated.before arrival at the lodge, I asked about basic cleaning equipment such as a mop, bucket, hoover and brush. As we were staying with two dogs and visiting in winter, keeping the lodge clean is important to us. Unfortunately, we were advised that only a small dustpan and brush were available, which was disappointing. As a result, we brought our own small hoover and purchased a mop and bucket during our stay, which we left behind for future guests. The lodge itself had ample space for two adults and one dog; however, with two dogs and two adults it did feel a little tight. The bedroom took up a large proportion of the space, which perhaps could have been redistributed into the kitchen/living area. That said, the overall layout was pleasant. I did feel the bathroom may have worked better positioned more centrally rather than at the end of the lodge, particularly if guests had visitors from other lodges, although I understand the lodge is designed primarily for two occupants. The kitchen was adequate but felt a little haphazard in terms of layout and storage, especially for a seven-night stay. Food storage in particular was limited, so we had to rearrange pots and use drawers creatively. We managed without issue and still had an enjoyable stay — this is intended purely as constructive feedback. The bathroom itself was very spacious and otherwise excellent; however, there was an overwhelming and unpleasant drainage or sewage smell throughout the stay. We initially considered whether it was the usual agricultural odour sometimes experienced in Lincolnshire, but this was clearly confined to the bathroom and far stronger. We purchased bleach, toilet blocks and drain cleaners, which temporarily resolved the issue for around a day before it returned. We did not raise this during the stay as it did not feel like something that could be immediately resolved, particularly after seeing similar comments in other reviews once we returned home. We did mention it at checkout, but the response was simply a brief thank you, which felt a little dismissive given the severity of the issue.Regarding the paperwork in the lodge, we had put the papers to one side and only noticed how dirty they were when placing them back on the table at the end of our stay. This also suggested that the feedback forms may not have been collected regularly, as they were clearly unpleasant to handle. On a positive note, the chocolates given by Andrew, the owner, were a very thoughtful and much-appreciated touch.Overall, we had a good week and enjoyed our stay. Please take this feedback in the constructive way it’s intended, as there are a few areas where improvements could make an already pleasant stay even better. Thank you.
