The cottage delightfully combines beams and mellow brickwork with cosy heating and contemporary lighting, furnishings and decor. Skegness sealife centre, Skegness stockcar stadium, Fantasy Island, Gibraltar Point, sandy beaches (3 miles), Gunby Hall and Gardens (4 miles) and Lincoln are in easy reach. Beach riding is nearby. Shops and pubs 2 miles.

We had a wonderful stay, especially as dog lovers. The flat lawn garden is enclosed with metal mesh attached to the wooden fence, with shrubs lining the outside. Some of the mesh squares are large enough for a small puppy or a determined sausage dog to squeeze through, but medium to large dogs are perfectly secure. The surrounding fields are full of cows, none of which were bothered by our barking Schnauzer.The accommodation is well equipped, with only a couple of minor maintenance issues such as loose bath taps — nothing that affected our stay.The property has three bedrooms: - Main bedroom: double bed with a very soft mattress - Second bedroom: two twin beds - Third bedroom: bunk beds for children Beds were made up according to the number listed on our booking.There’s a bathroom with a toilet upstairs plus an additional toilet downstairs. The kitchen includes everything needed for a comfortable stay: dishwasher, electric hob and oven, microwave, kettle, and toaster. The living room offers plenty of seating with a three‑seat sofa, a twin‑seat armchair, and an IKEA armchair with footstool. The guest guide states that dogs are not permitted on the furniture or upstairs.The games room is a great bonus. We didn’t use it ourselves, but it’s ideal for keeping children entertained and giving adults a bit of quiet time.There’s ample space to park a couple of cars, and the location is fantastic — surrounded by fields with its own gated drive up to the house. It feels wonderfully private and not overlooked, apart from the occasional curious cow.We visited during warm late‑September weather, so heating wasn’t needed and we didn’t encounter any additional charges. We also didn’t hear any bird deterrent during our stay. The abundance of birds, bunnies, and cows added to the charm and peacefulness of the setting.Overall, a lovely and relaxing experience. We’ve already booked again for next year.
