Teal Lodge in Tattershall is a well-regarded holiday rental, praised for its comfortable beds, private hot tub, and beautiful lake views. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful owners, as well as the lodge's cleanliness and spaciousness. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests recommending the lodge and expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found Teal Lodge to be clean and tidy upon arrival. However, there were some reports of specific areas needing attention, such as bird mess on the decking, cobwebs, and a few instances of unclean kitchen appliances. These issues seem to be the exception rather than the rule, suggesting a generally high standard of cleanliness with room for improvement.
The location of Teal Lodge is highly praised for its stunning views over the jet ski lake, privacy, and tranquil setting. Guests enjoyed the proximity to local facilities and the natural beauty of the area. The presence of wildlife and the opportunity to watch jet skis and sunsets from the lodge add to the appeal of its location.
Guests consistently mention the comfort of the beds and the overall cosy atmosphere of the lodge. The spaciousness for larger groups and the enclosed garden for pets contribute to the comfort level. However, there were a few remarks about uncomfortable bunk beds and issues with a shower screen seal, slightly detracting from the overall comfort score.
The lodge's facilities, including the hot tub and kitchen, are generally well-received. Nonetheless, there are several comments about maintenance issues such as problems with the toilet flush, dishwasher, and hot tub cleanliness. While the facilities are appreciated, these maintenance concerns affect the overall experience.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches provided by the owners that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to assess this category based on the reviews provided.

The view over the lake to tattershall castle and church was beautiful. Everything was so lovely and the table had been beautifully set. The whole place was lovely and clean and tidy. The large fridge freezer was very useful with 8 of us. The hot tub was lovely and warm with stunning views and the hot tub was maintained every day of our trip which was a very pleasant surprise. Would definitely go back for another stay.

The lodge is clean, comfortable and homely, it's a good size too. The hot tub is very clean and everything works. The view over the lake is great. The owners John and Zoe are very approachable, helpful and friendly. We will definitely be going back

The lodge was generally grubby and clearly in need of maintenance. Here are some key issues we faced during our stay: Cleanliness: The lodge was not clean. We found coffee granules in the cupboards, the window sills were grubby, dining table sticky and the vent above the shower clearly hadnât been cleaned in months. Additionally, there was no mop or brush available to keep the floor clean. Kitchen Appliances: Both freezers were frozen solid, and one was so jammed that we couldn't even close the door properly. Furthermore, there was a lack of storage, forcing us to use the worktops to store food, which made it inconvenient and cluttered. Outdoor Furniture: There were no cushions provided for the outdoor furniture, making it uncomfortable to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. Structural Issues: The bathroom window wouldn't lock, compromising our privacy and security. The latch for the second bedroom window was missing, preventing us from leaving it open without it being fully open, which was inconvenient and potentially unsafe. No shower in the ensuite despite it being in the property description and photo's We noticed a hole in the roof outside, which we believe is where an animal got in. We heard it running above the ceiling every night, which was disturbing. Despite these shortcomings, there were a few positives. The hot tub was great, and the lodge is situated in a quiet, secluded part of the park, which when the jet skis finish, was very tranquil with great sunsets. Overall, while the hot tub and location were highlights, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance issues, and structural problems made our stay disappointing.
