Situated in 60 acres of countryside just a short drive to Lincoln and Newark, these comfortable, detached lodges, Humphrey-Basil Lodge (ref UKC2176), Winston Lodge (ref W43482), Oscar Lodge (ref W43483) and George Lodge (ref W43484), offer an excellent base from which to explore the area, or to simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of this tranquil location, in addition to the tranquil setting, stunning countryside views and alpacas grazing. The Timothy Suite (UKC2177) also has stunning countryside views and is situated on Birchdale farm yard.
We have a beautiful Woodland walk for our guests to enjoy, which takes a circular route around our 60 acre farm. Your dog’s have their own enclosed field - Bertie’s playpen - to let off steam.
Lincoln is well known for its Christmas market, famous cathedral and castle, which houses the Magna Carta Centre. The Bailgate shopping area of Lincoln has many restaurants and shops. It is a great place to explore, and a walk down the hill into the centre of the city takes you to the vibrant Brayford Wharf area. Newark Showground is about 10 minutes’ drive away, and is well known for its international antique fairs. There are good walks and cycle routes from the door, as well as golf courses in the local area. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles..

A fantastic place to just sit and enjoy the surroundings. The alpaca come right to the fence outside the lodge. There is a lovely woodland walk it was obviously a bit muddy due to the time of year but enjoyable anyway. The lodge has everything you could need and it was beautiful and clean. Beds were nice and comfortable and the rooms cosy and warm. The only problem we found was the dog field fencing was not secure for my moms inquisitive Shih Tzu which was a shame.

We had a wonderful stay as a family for a week - adults and teenagers both lived the lodge and the grounds it’s set within. We ventured out to lots of local towns and villages and explored the grounds too. Plenty of entertainment in the games hut and the alpacas being so close to the lodges was a real treat too as they kept coming to visit us. The welcome gift upon check in was a lovely surprise and fully enjoyed by us all. We would definitely recommend staying here and plan to return again in the future.
