This smartly furnished, detached, contemporary holiday home is peacefully situated in the village of Timberland, overlooking the lawns and fishing lake of Peacock Waters (silverfish and carp to 31lb). Excellent cycling territory, with the ’water railway’ riverside path 5 miles away leading to Woodhall Spa, Lincoln, Tattershall and Boston. Woodhall Spa (6 miles) offers the ’Kinema in the Woods’ - a unique cinema experience - the summer swimming lido, tennis and a championship golf course. Horncastle (10 miles) has varied vintage shops. Coningsby (9 miles) is home to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The city of Lincoln with medieval cathedral, castle and smart shopping is 15 miles. Newark is 25 miles and the east coast beaches are approximately 35 miles. Pub just under 1 mile away.

Peacock Barn is well equipped and was clean and well prepared for our visit. Amanda and Adam were very welcoming and helpful during our stay. It is outside the village so had views of the lake behind and across the road to fields, all of which we liked. Local amenities are in the village, or next village, which didn't worry us but may not suit some people. We found it a good base for visits to Woodhall Spa, the Wolds, nature reserves, Lincoln and Tattershall Castle

It was our second time at Peacock Barn and again it did not disappoint. The barn is spotless and has everything you need for a quiet relaxing holiday. The lake is lovely and peaceful and the fishing was 1st class, managed to catch everyday and the fish are in great condition. The hosts are very friendly and always on hand if you need anything. All in all another excellent holiday at Peacock Barn. Thanks again
