This luxury, end of terrace property is ideally located in the heart of the city of Lincoln where you can step out onto the cobbled streets and begin exploring straight from the door. The property boasts stylish grey gloss kitchen units with built in appliances and hanging copper lights, and a large living/dining area creating a sociable space to enjoy.
You can enjoy a thriving city centre with many shops, boutiques, restaurants, bars and tea rooms. At the Brayford Wharf you can dine whilst watching the boats sail by, or walk up the well-known Steep Hill into the Bailgate and Castle area. Lincoln Castle hosts many events throughout the year with the famous Lincoln Christmas Market, Steampunk Festival, as well as the annual cycling Grand Prix.
For a day out, Newark Showground is a short drive away with its regular international Antique Fairs and annual agricultural show (held in May), and Market Rasen Racecourse and the Lincolnshire Wolds are approximately 30 minutes’ away. In June, animal lovers can enjoy the Lincolnshire agricultural show. History buffs are sure to be kept well occupied at the Bomber Command tourist centre, open most of the year. Enjoy endless walks through the countryside and many Wolds villages with tea rooms and village pubs for refreshments.

We had a good week at the property. Parking space was a real bonus. The property was in a very good and convenient location. We never got to meet the hosts but the welcome pack and communication were good. I would have like to give the property 5 stars however the bathroom needs a fan as the condensation gathered in the windows upstairs and the window seat frames were showing signs of moulding. We also thought the sprung mattress could do with being replaced but we know mattresses are individual preferences. Also whilst the kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment much of it had to be washed before we could use it as it had been put away with food residue on it. We are sure that the property will remain a favourite with those booking .

An excellent base to explore Lincoln. Turn right and head up Steep Hill to the Cathedral and Castle. Turn left and head into the city centre and to Brayford Water. Having a designated car parking space was a real boon. We also really appreciated the generous welcome basket and well equipped and supplied kitchen. Just be mindful that it will likely be noisy outside on Friday and Saturday nights - take some earplugs.

Had a great 4 night stay at Strugglers retreat. The owner Jill met us and was very helpful with info about the house and places to eat and drink. The house is in a perfect location at the bottom of Steep hill with plenty of eateries and pubs. We would fully recommend Lawsons restaurant right opposite the house, the Nepalese restaurant Himalayan is a stones throw down the hill and really good. Comfy bed and cosy lounge added to our pleasant stay with a garden we actually managed to sit out in on a sunny afternoon.Will look at booking again the next time we are up in Lincolnshire.
