The village charm and friendly locals, along with a good pub within walking distance, add to the positive experience. The enclosed garden is a hit with pet owners.

Reviewers consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotlessly clean' and appreciating the well-maintained condition. This indicates a very high standard of cleanliness.

Located in the heart of Lincolnshire close to Grantham, Sleaford, and Spalding, Folkingham is a quaint little village. The Domesday Book of 1086 records the village's existence, but it was most likely founded as an Anglo-saxon settlement in the sixth century. Although the once-impressive Folkingham Castle no longer stands in the village, its site can still be seen today. The village now features a convenience store where guests can pick up food and other supplies for their own cooking, as well as a pub called The New Inn. Belton House, owned by the National Trust and located in the nearby market town of Grantham, is a magnificent manor house from the 17th century complete with an orangery and extensive grounds where you can go for a stroll and, if you're lucky, see some of the local deer. The museums of Cogglesford Watermill, Navigation House Visitor Centre, and Cranwell Aviation Heritage can be found in Sleaford, a little further north. The village is surrounded by beautiful English countryside, where visitors can enjoy scenic views of rolling fields and go hiking in places like the Colsterworth Nature Trail and Pickworth Great Wood. Folkingham has these things and more for you to discover.

The outside was fantastic, and our dog loved it. The cottage had everything we needed and was close to the village. We will be back. The owners were brilliant in sending us a little welcome message, and the welcome pack was a nice added touch.

It has everything for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. It’s well located in a lovely village with a good pub. The owners are good at communicating, passing on details of village events and the little welcome goodies were a nice touch.

Spotlessly clean, comfy and with the best ever bed to sink into and sleep soundly, absolutely perfect! There were goodies left for us in welcome, which was a lovely touch. The owners left a file with information and advice for the surrounding area. The nearby pub in the village is superb and we had a couple of meals there. I adored the view in the evening of the church, as we relaxed after our busy days house hunting. We are unlikely to stay again as we will be moving to the area, but will certainly recommend to friends. 10/10 for us, thank you.
