Hill View is everything you, your family and your friends want in a group self-catering property, including accommodation for up to 19 people in five bedrooms. The gorgeous house is on the Rutland Border, only six miles from historic Stamford and just an hour from North London. The the property is completely private with no near neighbours to complain about noise from the property and there is no curfew on the hot tubs, making it an ideal hen party venue. Before you know it, the office will be a distant memory, and you'll be starting your special celebration with a cold drink in the outdoor twin hot tubs, surrounded by two acres of private grounds with views of the rolling countryside. There are two pubs within easy reach, including The Olive Branch, an award winning gastro pub voted UK pub of the year 2020 which is just a five min drive from Hill View. The Six Bells is another fabulous gastro pub and just a two minute drive from the property. Both of these cater for large groups.

Rutland's central location and plentiful attractions make it perfect for a fun and relaxing holiday with some of your favourite people. It's incredibly pretty, with beautiful countryside walks and sights like Rutland Water, which is only 10 minutes from Hill View and one of the biggest man-made lakes in Europe. It's an excellent spot for a walk or a bike ride - especially if you have kids and want to avoid traffic, and is also good for fishing and sailing. Boat and bike hire are available from the visitor information centre, and there is also a fantastic aqua park and a sandy beach.

Stamford is a favourite choice for a day out. Its historic town centre has the honour of being the first Conservation Area in England, boasting 600 listed buildings from medieval to Georgian. Burghley House and Park are nearby as is Tolethorpe Hall. The latter is owned by the Stamford Shakespeare Company and holds open-air performances in the summer. Stamford also has a wide array of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants.

You don't have to leave the grounds of Hill View to have a wonderfully memorable stay. There is plenty of space outside to arrange activities and, with no near neighbours, the party doesn't need to stop until you want it to. The owner's website has a useful list of local attractions and businesses they recommend to help you plan the perfect weekend, including a private chef for celebratory meals at home, and a hair and makeup artist for looking your best at a wedding, party or another special occasion.

Accommodation Comprises:

Hill View is huge, with spacious living areas and comfortable bedrooms. Accommodation is over two levels. All rooms are furnished to a high-standard using carefully chosen furnishings that create an atmosphere that feels like you're staying in a friend's luxurious country house or a small boutique hotel.

  • Cook, eat and socialise in the enormous open plan kitchen/dining & living room which stretches for 40-feet along the length of the house.
  • At one end of the room is the seating area, with comfortable sofas positioned around the TV and the log burner.
  • A double Rangemaster, Belfast sink, and American-style fridge-freezer are just three of the many touches that make cooking for groups a breeze in the country-style kitchen. There is a separate utility room with further space.
  • The dining room has tables and chairs for up to 20 people and can be configured to suit your needs. French doors open from the dining area into the garden. It is a wonderful space for socialising.
  • Downstairs bedroom with a double bed and three single beds, two of which are behind a room divider for further privacy. All of the rooms have a flatscreen TV and the house has WiFi (but not in every room).
  • Shower room with a shower, WC and a handbasin.
  • Upstairs:

  • The remaining four bedrooms are upstairs and include a family/quad room with a kingsize and two single beds, plus room for a fold-out bed if required. The ensuite has a shower, WC and a handbasin.
  • Double bedroom with a bedside table and an antique style brass bedstead.
  • Family/Triple room with a kingsize and a single bed.
  • Family room with a kingsize bed, a double bed and a single bed.
  • Bathroom with a freestanding roll-top bath and a hand-held mixer shower, WC and a handbasin.
  • Outside: The space outside is as impressive as that within. There is a patio with garden furniture that seats up to 20 people and a gas barbecue, as well as sun loungers and picnic tables. The twin hot tubs (which are totally private and have no curfew) overlooks the acre-sized paddock and the rolling countryside, and there is also a table tennis table. The front and rear paddocks are ideal for games (there are goals for football lovers) and picnic tables seat up to 20 guests. The house has off-street parking for up to 15 cars.

    Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi and bed linen are included. Guests to supply bath towels and towels for use near the hot tub. A welcome basket of fuel for the log burner is provided. A travel cot (no bedding) and a high chair are available - please request these when booking. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement and a small surcharge. Smoking is not permitted.
