There is a shop and pub within 3 miles drive with the pub at nearby Farndon overlooking the River Trent where you enjoy refreshment as the motor cruisers float by.

Lovely stay in barley barn . Nice and quiet just what we needed . Single bed mattress need replacing and filer coffee pot to . Apart from that very good .

We loved the cottage, both for it's location and amenities. We've stayed at lots of cottages and this one stood out for the attention to detail. It's a beautiful and spacious cottage. Location is perfect if you want to visit Lincoln or Nottingham, plenty of attractions within a 40 mins drive, and plenty of supermarkets etc nearby for eating at the cottage.For disabled guests, just a small note around parking - the cottage allows people to unload at the door and then has parking under a shelter outside the courtyard. It's a small walk to the shelter, but not easy in gravel so could be difficult if you have any mobility issues. The cottage manual does say you can leave the car outside if its not in the way, but we found other guests blocked people in if we left our car there, so it would look like we were the problem when we arrived first. It wouldn't stop us staying again but really felt like an important detail for anyone who needs to park outside the property
