We had a lovely time in a pet friendly lodge. Here’s the pros and cons :Cons :The bath continuously dripped. We reported it and were informed they are aware but they need to shut the lodge as a plumber needs to remove the bath to access the pipe work. The main bed was uncomfortable. The mattress was not supportive. Remedied with us using a large throw and tucking it in all round to provide some firmness/support. The fire didn’t work. We didn’t need the heat as the lodge was warm but a cosy light would have been a nice detail at night. The frying pans were very old and the non stick had long gone. The clothes horse was broken (we reported it and a new one was brought round though)So now that’s out of the way, here’s the pros :Lovely, attentive site staff!Hot tub was spotless. Lodge was very clean. The heaters meant it was lovely and warm too. Thoughtful touches were the loaf of bread, milk, Prosecco and fruit cake on arrival!The site is lovely and quiet (just what we needed) within easy reach of shops though. The water was lovely and hot and plentiful. Overview :A lovely site with great staff. Was the lodge a little tired in places? Yes. Did we have a great break? Yes. Most importantly - would we come back? Absolutely yes!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights here, everything was clean and the hot tub was beautiful even in the rain. The hosts were super responsive to any queries.
