Guests say

The Old Parish Hall in Saffron Walden receives high praise for its character, spaciousness, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the host, Fraser, and the inclusion of a generous welcome pack. The property's location is ideal for local exploration and dining at the nearby Cricketers pub. While most find the property comfortable and well-equipped, a few noted the absence of a washing machine and concerns about the garden's safety for pets.

Reviews consistently mention the property being well-maintained and clean, suggesting a high level of cleanliness throughout the holiday home.

The property's location is frequently praised for its peaceful setting and proximity to a pub with good food. Its convenience for local exploration and access to London by train also contributes to a high location score.

Guests find the beds and sofas comfortable and the property spacious, contributing to a relaxing stay. However, the absence of a washing machine in some reviews suggests a slight deduction in comfort for longer stays.

The property is well-equipped with attention to detail, but the lack of a washing machine and some concerns about TV channels and garden safety for dogs indicate room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

The host's thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome pack and provisions for guests and pets. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are a courtesy and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Fraser made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, the little extra touches from the welcome basket, milk and butter in the fridge and supplies for the dog made us feel at home right away! The hall has been beautifully renovated and was the perfect location for our birthday weekend away, the fire really completed our cosy evenings in! Would highly recommend staying here to friends and family, and we hope to visit again in the future! Thank you Fraser for sharing your beautiful property with us!
