For the energetic there s access to mountain biking, climbing, kayaking, fishing and horse riding where you can explore the four mile stretch between Glasbury and Hay, alternatively, if you re not keen on canoeing, you could relax at The Bont the village beach thats great for wild swimming and just a short walk from the chapel. Hay on Wye is within easy reach and is famous for its International Book Festival, with plenty of second hand bookshops, an art house cinema and independent shops, as well as The Globe at Hay. This pinnacled gothic chapel has now been lovingly converted into a sociable and warm family home, a gallery and creative space for guests with a rotation of art works twice a year. You will see that the chapel has two original wooden doors, the main door gives access to a small lobby with where you will gain your first experience of the colourful wall papers and eclectic style. Step on inside to the large kitchen, an open plan area that s perfect for a keen chef, the contemporary style sits well within the tall ceilings and original features of the chapel. Well equipped and offering a free range electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, and for spectators or a morning coffee there is a breakfast bar with stools. For dining, a long table takes centre stage within the heart of the chapel finished with a selection of chairs and benches where you can enjoy a celebration or simple supper of local produce. When its time to relax you can sink onto one of the many sofas or armchairs and enjoy a movie on the TV.
