The bath needed cleaning again before it could be used. Itâs in a great location, nice walk to the town centre and derwentwater. The property has no outside space which is a shame but has loads of indoor space. There are a LOT of stairs! They have kindly provided lots of books and games which is a bonus. As a result of the location parking is a challenge, particularly at weekends. There is on street parking next to the house but it is in high demand due to the high numbers of b&bs around.

One refuse bin for a house which sleeps 8 people is not sufficient. No recycling bin which would have been very useful. A second point relates to the check-in time of 5pm which is very late compared to other cottage providers. I understood this during COVID times when extra cleaning time was allocated but this shouldnât be the case anymore. Allowing access from 3pm on day of arrival is pretty standard now.
