1)used one of the towels to dry my hands when I first arrived and pubic hair fell into the sink. We hadnât used them until that point. 2) tiles, skirting boards and window sills were thick in sticky dust. 3) fridge didnât work correctly so froze all our food. Has to throw out. 4) shower didnât drain at all probably from more dirty hair I expect. Didnât dare to look. 5) some curtains and towels stained 6) dog hair in microwave I have photos of all this. When I complained I was left a bottle of drain cleaner ti sort it myself. I left early after this and now told I canât expect compensation as I gave no one chance to clean it. Maybe before someone paying for a holiday arrives would be a good time? not during their supposed break? Absolutely disgraceful. Previous reviews state same issues and nothing has changed. Never again booking with Sykes.

Having paid £1208 for the week I expected the cottage to be in a better condition than we found it. I would be reluctant to book through Sykes cottages again 1. Towels, almost thread bare 2 throughly cleaned? Dust on skirting boards, windowsill , cobwebs hanging from wall and face mask down beside chest of drawers 3 bulb needed in lounge light 4 oven trays too wide to fit in oven 5 knife missing from knife rack 6 headboard in back bedroom, not fixed to bed so moves against the wall when you turnover in bed 7 rubber loose on shower screen 8 hard pillows 9 mattress uncomfortable,so using duvet from spare bed to make the bed comfortable 10 update the information to reflect the fact that the launderette opposite the property is closed 11 draft from back door when closed On the plus side 1 free Wi-Fi 2 dishwasher 3 clean kitchen and fridge Regards Mary [image0.jpeg][image1.jpeg][image2.jpeg][image3.jpeg][image4.jpeg][image5.jpeg][image6.jpeg][image8.jpeg][image9.jpeg][image10.jpeg] Sent from my iPad

Although the cottage looked clean, the kitchen cupboard doors felt sticky, and I noticed the paintwork going up the stairs was dirty. This cottage is ideal for a couple, and should not be described as dog friendly at all. I was very disappointed, and will not book the cottage again.
