As dusk sets in, venture upstairs to find three well-presented bedrooms, including a king-size, a double, and a twin, all serviced by a sleek bathroom, featuring a free-standing bath and shower; relax and rejuvenate ahead of your adventures. As morning arrives, discover the wrap-around garden, made up of wildflower meadows, an orchard, two ponds, and the perfect setting for an alfresco brunch. Stroll down to the ancient Holmrook Hall Bridge or into Holmrook where you’ll find the local pub and a well-stocked store. Within a short drive you'll also arrive at Drigg Sand Dunes and Beach, perfect for energetic dogs, Eskdale Golf Course, Muncaster Castle, and the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, one of the oldest and longest narrow gauge steam railways in England, offering a 7-mile trip deep into Eskdale. A wealth of beauty spots are dotted around the area, including beautiful Wastwater, the deepest lake in the Lake District – perfect for paddleboarding and canoeing; Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain; the infamous Hardknott Pass and its Roman Fort; Seascale Beach and the cliffs at St Bees Head. Travelling further to Whitehaven, enjoy tours of The Beacon Museum, and Whitehaven Castle, before stopping off at The Rum Story & Jefferson's Shop for a sample of various world class Cumbrian rums.
