  An absolutely fabulous property in an ideal location, beautifully appointed, with everything you could think of to make a family holiday perfect in every way. Christmas at Wynford was just gorgeous. Thank you for the Christmas decorations and lovely welcome gifts. There were 6 adults 2 children. 1 cocker spaniel and Wynford fitted our needs like a glove with room to spare. The open plan was a great space and the girls loved having their own area to play. The kitchen area is well equipped we didn't miss anything. Having a separate utility room was a great bonus. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are to a high standard and we just love the Orla Kiely theme throughout the property. Fabulous views. I imagine sitting out on the terrace would be stunning. We explored Ambleside and all its nooks & crannies and great walks in surrounding areas. Great local cinema. We ate at Zeffirelis (vegetarian) highly recommend and lovely ambience. The girls enjoyed the Gem shop on North Street. Walk up to the waterfalls and beyond to Force Cafe. Great place to eat or just for coffee. Again stunning views.   We have been holidaying with our family in 7 different properties and this stands out as the best.

  The location is excellent and the view from the house is outstanding. All rooms have an en-suite ( or dedicated bathroom) The beds are very comfortable - six super king - can be made up as singles, and one king size, also available as singles. All rooms spacious and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is fitted out with everything one could want, and all good quality. There is a games room with pool table and outside games, table tennis and much more to keep children happy and occupied - adults too. There are books and games available. Lovely to have shelves and hooks inside the main door to store shoes and coats easily. Good parking availability at the house and two electric charging points. Local shops within easy walking distance - independent and supermarkets. Excellent pies from the butcher. Lots of interesting activities to do/visit. Many within 30/40 minutes, or nearer.

  We were a party of 11 people ages ranging from 11months to 75yrs The house was perfect, the layout over three floors ensured everyone had their own space with all the bedrooms en-suite .

  The standard and quality of the fixtures and fitting was excellent, the recent refurbishment has given the house a modern feel while still retaining its character. The crockery , cutlery and kitchen appliances were in abundance , in fact , we felt that nothing was missing that we would have required. The outdoor space was superb and luckily we had great weather so most of our time was spent outdoors, the games room and the abundance of outdoor activities ensured nobody got bored. The internet was excellent , the views were stunning and we all loved the location and closeness of the town and promenade. Jim and Celia are the perfect hosts and did everything to ensure that our stay was perfect On behalf of the whole family , I would like to thank you for making it a great family weekend and one that everyone of us enjoyed.

  We’ve been coming to the Lakes for over 30years and this was the best property we’ve stayed in yet.

  The rooms and en-suites were very spacious and thoughtfully decorated, but it was the communal areas that really made the property stand out. Plenty of seating options downstairs, a very well appointed kitchen and wonderful views. There was also plenty of space for parking (we had 5 cars without issue). The only tricky point was the bins. As a group of 10 we generated a lot of rubbish as everything went into the same bag with no recycling, and despite putting the bins out for collection ahead of the dates, they weren’t collected. They were already partially filled when we arrived and whilst It didn’t impact our stay in any way, this might be something that the owners need to raise with the council. Overall, a wonderful property in a fantastic, quiet location which we would love to return to again.

  Excellent! We thorough enjoyed our relaxing stay here.

  Victoria Mount is an outstanding property. It is very large but also warm, peaceful and welcoming. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated in keeping with it’s age and yet enjoys every modern convenience. The seven bedrooms, six of which are en-suite are large and very comfortable. The outdoor spaces are finished to an equally high standard and it’s possible to enjoy the stunning and ever changing views of the bay from both the balcony and patios. There’s also plenty to keep children amused with table tennis and football, swings and a slide. The owners Jim and Celia are very pleasant, kind and helpful and they go the extra mile to ensure that the guests at Victoria Mount have the best of everything. We recommend this holiday property without reservation
