Laundry Cottage is a spacious and charming property praised for its peaceful location and historical character. Guests appreciate the clean, comfortable rooms and the beautiful, private grounds ideal for walks. The cottage's remote setting offers stunning views and a tranquil retreat, though some furnishings and aspects of maintenance could benefit from updates.
Reviews indicate that while the property is generally clean, some guests have noted issues with musty upholstery and stained furnishings. Bed linen and towels have received criticism from a guest, suggesting room for improvement in laundry services.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquility, privacy, and proximity to nature, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful retreat. However, its remoteness means that shops and pubs are not within walking distance.
Guests find the cottage to be spacious, cozy, and comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable bedrooms. Some guests have noted steep stairs and a need for caution.
The property is well-equipped for a family holiday, but several reviews mention the need for updates and maintenance, including issues with showers, electrics, and a rusty kettle. The grounds are appreciated but could be better maintained for exploration.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess the level of thoughtfulness in terms of extra amenities or welcome gestures.

We had a wonderful time at Laundry Cottage. It is spacious yet cozy, and everyone found it very comfortable. The cottage is well equipped and feels genuinely lived in. Having views over the hills from the bedroom windows was a real treat. It is quiet and remote, with the nearest shop about 20 minutes away (at a garage- I put an average score for local amenities as poor would have been harsh). This was perfect for us and exactly what we were looking for. There were a couple of very minor things that could use attention, but nothing that would stop us from returning to this delightful cottage.
