No smoking.. Laundry Cottage and gardens are set within a large private estate in an outstanding position with its own car park. It is within easy reach of the market towns of Keswick and Cockermouth.
The property provides exceptionally comfortable and spacious accommodation. It is fully modernised and has Wi-Fi internet access and yet retains traditional features. The views are stunning, making this property an idyllic holiday location for adults, children and also dogs. The sitting room features an ornamental, traditional Lakeland fireplace and views over the gardens to Udale Fell. The gardens are continuous with the grounds of Ireby Grange Estate and there are no defining borders as a result. Guests are free to walk around the Estate which also includes Binsey Fell. The garden area is a haven for wildlife and the property is ideally placed to walk and explore.
There are many walking and cycling opportunities to be had from the door including easy access to Binsey Fell which provides a thrilling viewpoint from the summit. There is interest wildlife to be seen in close proximity including deer, and red squirrels.

This was our 2nd stay and myself and my family absolutely love staying at Laundry Cottage it's an absolute gem, It’s so peaceful, cozy and full of the oldie worldy charm, I love that it's been in the same family for generations and love the photo album that tells the history of the Cottage and surrounding grounds, the small woodland walk is a beautiful bonus to explore, and the views are breathtaking especially seeing the northern lights at night. I can not big Laundry Cottage up enough as it is so charming. There are only a few very small niggly bits that I feel needs addressing and it's that the Iron needs replacing due to exposed wires, switch on the wall by the shower room was loose. Feather pillows in the single room did cause my son to have unpleasant allergies but once removed and antihistamine given he was fine so maybe replacing them would benefit. The WiFi was very weak unfortunately. Not to sure if anyone was taking the tea spoons but there were only about 4 in the drawer not enough for 7 people.Despite the little niggles I 100% recommend Laundry Cottage 👌 We are planning our 3rd visit 😀
