Guests say

Overwater Lodge is praised for its beautiful, tranquil location and stunning views, with guests enjoying the wildlife and rural charm. The property is described as well-equipped, spacious, and comfortable, offering a peaceful retreat. Some guests noted issues with heating and maintenance but appreciated the property's overall appeal.

The majority of guests found the property clean, with only one mention of dirty windows and sofa cleanliness, suggesting minor oversights rather than a general problem.

The location is highly regarded for its tranquility, beautiful views, and proximity to nature, with only positive comments about the setting.

Guests found the property comfortable, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Some concerns were raised about the heating system and a cramped shower, slightly affecting the comfort level.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable furnishings. However, there were several mentions of maintenance issues such as heating problems and a malfunctioning oven door, which indicate room for improvement.

While guests appreciated the welcome box, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gestures, and they should not be expected on every visit.

Nice well equipped cottage in a lovely peaceful location. Took some adjusting to not having wifi or being able to use our mobile phones. Could run and walk from the door without lots of traffic or people.

Lovely house and location, Well equipped kitchen. Unfortunately we did not have a fire starter kit and it was extremely cold with snow on the ground and the house was cold when we arrived. The heating worked, but mostly at night, so I think the heating timer needs reprogramming. The oven door does not close properly so we needed to wedge it with a chair, for it to function effectively. These can be easily rectified and then it would be absolutely perfect!!

We had enjoyed our stay, the surrounding area is beautiful. Very peaceful. The only thing that maybe can be improved is the cleanlines of the sofas, other than that not a single complaint. Maybe a bit chilly but nothing that we didn't sort out with the fireplace! We had a great time and we would love to return.
