Meadows Lodge is a nice 2 bedroom lodge approx 10 mins from Cockermouth and 30 mins from Keswick.The Lodge is generally well appointed but there are a few issues that haven't been sorted since we stayed a year ago.The blinds at the front of the Lodge are broken and it's not very private.Also there are issues with the hot tub.Its very poorly lit at night so access in and out can be tricky..You will need a torch.Also,the hot tub lid is a generic one and has be be raised manually and its very heavy so you can only use half of the hot tub..I'm not sure how often the water is changed too! There was a problem with the central heating when we arrived but the owners talked us through it over the phone but it does need fixing..There are also no instructions for the heating and appliances which would be helpful.Also,there was no bread knife and only 2 dishwasher tablets for a whole week!In general it's a decent Lodge for the money and the owners are lovely but the ongoing issues should really be sorted.

Caravan very nice but when we arrived the kitchen shelves & work surfaces needed cleaning due what looked like food crumbs.The dining room chairs let the caravan down as old , scruffy , ripped. Lighting outside by steps & hottub very poor a hazard at night. The decking area needs a good clean although it is winter the other vans on site a lot more appealing on the outside area cleaner. Lovely site but wouldn’t visit this caravan again unless they sorted the minor details for the price we paid.

Check in was after 3pm was after 3pm but had still not received the code for key lock, owner was not returning messages (understand if at work etc) cottages.com provided information.Lodge had most of everything you require for stay away from home. Lack of instructions for using heating, cooker, wifi and hot tub but luckily eventually figured them out.Welcome book would have been handy to include above information and local amenities around area etc.Previous cottages.com holidays I have been on this has always been provided.
