My biggest concern is that the 2 beds in smaller room. Which I tried to sleep on was awful nearly fell out as mattress kept slipping when I moved so so low to get up from .The bedding was not fit for purpose looked done and not bright and fresh which you would expect no toilet roll holder also the towels had seen better days

Beautiful surroundings with easy access to Lake District. Peaceful, fully equipped with everything you could need, immaculate, and with a great jacuzzi. Highly recommend.

Meadows Lodge is a nice 2 bedroom lodge approx 10 mins from Cockermouth and 30 mins from Keswick.The Lodge is generally well appointed but there are a few issues that haven't been sorted since we stayed a year ago.The blinds at the front of the Lodge are broken and it's not very private.Also there are issues with the hot tub.Its very poorly lit at night so access in and out can be tricky..You will need a torch.Also,the hot tub lid is a generic one and has be be raised manually and its very heavy so you can only use half of the hot tub..I'm not sure how often the water is changed too! There was a problem with the central heating when we arrived but the owners talked us through it over the phone but it does need fixing..There are also no instructions for the heating and appliances which would be helpful.Also,there was no bread knife and only 2 dishwasher tablets for a whole week!In general it's a decent Lodge for the money and the owners are lovely but the ongoing issues should really be sorted.
