Alternatively the hop-on, hop-off boat tours on Derwent Water offer 50-minute cruise that boasts jaw-dropping views at every turn, or rent some rowing boats for some Swallows and Amazons fun! A 20 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride along the Threlkeld to Keswick railway trail drops you into the heart of Keswick, a market town with a pedestrianised shopping square, delightful eateries and plenty of artisan shops. Theatre goers will love taking in a show at the Theatre By The Lake (2 miles), while golfers can hit the fairway at Keswick Golf Club and Cockermouth Golf Club (both within 12 miles).
