Carthwaite is a four-bedroom town house, superbly equipped and furnished throughout, ideally suited for six with the added flexibility of a seventh bed. Situated in a quiet residential area but only 5 minutes level walk into the town centre, it provides easy access to shops, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions.
The four bedrooms comprise two doubles, (one with en-suite), one twin and one single room. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath. The property also has a downstairs toilet and washbasin, making it ideal for the larger family or two smaller families sharing.
Patio doors from the living room open onto a small rear garden which is enclosed, well sheltered and south facing. On sunny days it is a sun trap, providing an ideal place to relax, either in the morning, lunchtime or especially in the afternoon after a rewarding walk.
A new kitchen was fitted in January 2020. It is well equipped with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washer/dryer. A combined fridge/freezer contains four fridge shelves and one drawer and three freezer drawers.
A small car park at the rear provides one allocated space to the property and is situated in the corner of the car park, directly opposite Carthwaite’s rear garden gate. On-street parking is also available. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
There are low banisters at the property.

A great location and a nice house. My reservation is the very poor insulation such that noise in any room is heard in any other room, including talking, and turning on the taps!

Comfortable spacious accommodation. All the amenities you require. Lovely quiet location and sunny back garden. Best to reverse into the allocated parking space. Short walk to the town centre. With a variety of shops and bars that offer food plus hotels. Easy walk to the lake. Both parks good for children It would be great if the double beds were king size.(( something to think about)

This is the cleanest holiday home I have ever stayed in!We have stayed here previously, it is close to the town and has everything, including parking, that you are likely to need.
