As the name suggests, a pet friendly, cosy character cottage with beamed ceilings, two double bedrooms and and L-shaped living/dining room. This traditional Lakeland cottage is situated in the heart of Portinscale village, which lies on the northern shores of Derwentwater and 1 mile from Keswick. The village has a pub, restaurants, a tea room/shop and a marina for those who enjoy sailing. In Keswick there are many shops, galleries, pubs, restaurants and visitor attractions to explore on the rainy days. There are many beautiful mountain walks immediately accessible from Cosy Cottage, including Causey Pike, Catbells, Grisedale Pike and Skiddaw, or low level walks around the lake.

Great place to stay because of its proximity to Keswick. A quick 15 min walk in and no parking stress! 2 double rooms also a bonus, and dog friendly though no outdoor space for dogs.

Found the cottage ideal for us and our two dogs .Parking was excellent and only a mile walk to Keswick .The cottage had everything we needed and was spotless .We would definitely stop there again .
