Cumberland Place is a spacious apartment situated in the heart of the bustling Lake District market town of Keswick. A two storey property set in an iconic Victorian slate building, which just oozes character. The private entrance at the rear of the property brings you into the boot room, ideal for storing bicycles and walking equipment on the ground floor. 13 steps take you up to the generous living room on the first floor, which boasts high ceilings and excellent views of the high street, along with a spacious, open plan kitchen/ diner. The second floor landing, with armchair, leads to two large bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, sizeable wardrobe, and chest of drawers, as well as an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a triple; it has a double and single bed, and with the bathroom next door it makes for the perfect family bedroom. The roof top terrace is a little haven, high above the bustling high street, accessed via first floor landing, it’s a perfect place to take in the morning sunshine and views over the nearby fells. There is a designated parking space, which, if used conscientiously, will fit two small cars.
All the amenities of this vibrant town are on your doorstep, just across the road is the main shopping area with a great selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and the iconic Moot Hall. A short 5 minute stroll will take you through Hope Park to the shores of Derwentwater, where The Keswick Launch Company operate regular trips around the lake each day, with numerous drop-off points if you wish to continue on foot. Keswick is renowned for its spectacular setting, surrounded by mountains, it’s abundance of shopping and dining experiences, as well as a variety of cultural hotspots and tourist attractions, including the Derwent Pencil Museum, the Theatre by the Lake, Keswick Convention Centre and Keswick Museum and Art Gallery and are all within walking distance. Lovely light apartment in the heart of Keswick that sleeps 5. Great that it has a parking space which can be a bit tricky depending how others park. The balcony is a sun-trap in the morning if you are lucky with the weather. Take salt and pepper if you use it. We would definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful week staying at Cumberland Place. Perfect location in the heart of Keswick, very close to all amenities but quiet at night and slept very well. Felt at home as soon as we walked through the door, the apartment is very spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed for our holiday. It was great having two bathrooms. The only issue was when we arrived Friday evening there was a skip parked in the allocated space, we weren't informed of this beforehand so had to rely on the kindness of the George Hotel barman letting us use one of their spaces for the first night. We contacted the local agent the next morning who said we could use a different space but it would have been handy to know that before we arrived. Would definitely book Cumberland Place again, there were only two of us but it would still be very roomy and comfortable for four people. Thank you!

Beds are so comfortable. The valences on them could do with a clean though. Apart from that the place was comfortable and warm enough for what we wanted.Managed to squeeze 2 SUVs in the parking bays which saved us up to £25/day to park for 24hrs in the council carparks. Or driving around looking for a free spot somewhere.If you don’t want an early wake up call from the delivery drivers then we recommend using the bedroom with the en-suite!
