While some guests found the decor a bit dated and had issues with maintenance, the location and the site's tranquility were highly appreciated. Quick responses to issues were noted, contributing to a comfortable experience.
Cleanliness was deemed acceptable by guests, though there was an instance of pet odour which affected the satisfaction of a guest expecting a pet-free environment.
The location is praised for its excellent setting and the ease of access to local attractions and walks, contributing to a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
Comfort received mixed reviews, with some guests finding the lodge comfortable and others noting issues with mattresses and sofas.
Facilities and maintenance issues were a concern, including unreliable WiFi, heating and hot water problems, and a wasps' nest. However, parking was commended.
There is no mention of gifts or special attention to guest needs beyond maintenance responses, so it is not possible to provide a score for thoughtfulness.

The site was lovely and peaceful, pleasant walk along the railway track into Keswick and plenty of walks straight from the door. Decor is a little tired, but I was comfortable, had everything i needed and a problem with the cooker was fixed quickly.

Expensive for what it is. For prices theyâre charging, owners need to upgrade property (ie better bed / up to date decor / shower that works without getting scolded!) Prices across UK have had to increase due to spiralling costs. Holiday lets, hotels, Air B&Bs in turn have had to become more competitive / up their game to attract customers. To rely on location alone is lazy and shortsighted.

There is a wasps nest in the cavity walls , you can see where the wasps are flying in and out of the roof ( lady at reception seen this also ) she's going to sort it . They keeps buzzing 24/7 . This aside the lodge was lovley and so was the site and facilities . I would return again but stay somewhere else unless the wasps get sorted as it keeps yoh awake all night
