Continue through to the dining room, ideal for mealtimes as a group, whilst the well-equipped kitchen is sure to satisfy your chef’s needs, featuring a gas range cooker and full-size fridge and freezer. Just beyond lies a utility room with washer/dryer, so you can easily freshen up your holiday wardrobe. Travel upstairs and discover a first-floor sitting room with open fire and mesmerising fell views, including Dodd and Skiddaw in the distance. On this level there are two double bedrooms, one enjoying an en-suite shower room and the other served by the family bathroom, whilst the second-floor offers a double and a twin, each with en-suite showers. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater.
