Guests say

Fairview in Keswick is a spacious, well-equipped cottage with breathtaking views over the town and surrounding fells. Guests consistently praise its comfort, ample bathrooms, and excellent location for exploring Keswick and the Lakes. The property is ideal for families and groups, with secure gardens and generous living areas. While some mention minor maintenance issues and a need for a deeper clean, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive. The welcome touches and thoughtful amenities are appreciated, though not guaranteed. The steep walk back from town and occasional slow WiFi are noted, but do not detract from a highly enjoyable stay.

Most guests found the property very clean and tidy, with only a few suggesting a deeper clean in some areas such as shower cubicles and under furniture. Cleanliness is generally a strong point, with only minor improvements needed.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to Keswick town centre. The only drawback mentioned is the steep hill leading back to the property, but this is outweighed by the convenience and scenery.

Guests consistently highlight the comfort of the beds, spacious living areas, and the overall homely feel. The property is well-suited for families and groups, with plenty of bathrooms and comfortable furnishings.

Facilities are generally excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen, multiple bathrooms, secure gardens, and ample storage. Some guests noted minor maintenance issues and suggested updates to kitchenware and appliances, but these did not significantly impact their stay.

Many guests appreciated the welcome pack and thoughtful touches such as Christmas decorations. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, future guests should not expect them as standard.

Fairview is an amazing place to stay ... a genuine home from home in terms of comfort. Also offers the most breathtaking views of the hills surrounding Keswick. It is at the top of a steep hill and so walking into Keswick town centre is not for the faint hearted. Its position on the outskirts of the town however provides speedy access in the car to the surrounding lakes and towns.WiFi was very patchy for a few days which isn't surprising in view of Keswick's remote location but is something to be aware of if internet connection is important to you.

Amazing views! Great location and a very comfortable house. I feel it needs a one off deep clean and needs to have a few minor maintenance issues resolved (curtain rails broken etc) but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the house and will definitely return - we had a fantastic holiday.

A great holiday let in Keswick. The garden areas front and back are both lovely to sit in and enjoy the scenery. The house is very modern, well equipped, clean and spacious, there’s also a sizeable garage (useful to store bikes, kayaks etc). The town centre is about 15-20 min downhill walk. Highly recommended.
