Guests say

Jame's Cottage in Keswick is praised for its excellent central location, spacious rooms, and well-equipped kitchen, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, attractive décor, and comfortable living spaces. However, some reviews mention issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and mattress comfort. Parking is off-site, which may be less convenient for families. Overall, the cottage offers a pleasant stay with great access to Keswick’s amenities, and many guests would return.

Several guests noted issues with cleanliness, including unwashed bedding, dust, and dirty appliances, though some found the property clean overall. The feedback is mixed, with a notable number of negative comments.

The location is consistently praised as excellent, being very close to Keswick town centre, shops, and supermarkets. The only drawback mentioned is the distance to parking.

Guests found the cottage cosy and spacious, but several reviews mention uncomfortable mattresses and pillows, which affected sleep quality. Living areas are described as relaxing.

The cottage is generally well-equipped with a good kitchen and bathrooms, but some guests experienced maintenance issues such as broken appliances, radiators, and plumbing. Facilities are otherwise appreciated.

Some guests noted the absence of welcome packs or basic essentials like milk and toilet paper. While a welcome gift would be appreciated, it is not guaranteed at this property.

Nice property. Very centrally located. Unfortunately having to use allocated car parks that a distance from property, especially with children and rain, mean that we wouldn’t stay again.

Wonderful location for this Keswick holiday cottage. Beds very cosy with nice bedding and lighting. Great bathrooms. Could have done with non- floppy kitchen serving spoons & fish slice and more storage space upstairs but otherwise very comfortable. Good storage downstairs, including a bike shed. Cute back yard with tables & chairs. Nice seating area and kitchen. Hope the electronic parking permit worked! We would love to return.

Very nice cottage but ....Positives - great location very close to Keswick centre.Nice big rooms and well equipped kitchen.2 good bathrooms. However in our 4 nights stay -The mattress and pillows in the main bedroom were very uncomfortable. We complained and they were replaced that day.Dishwasher stopped working and a tradesman was sent out.Quite a few radiators were not working properly and then the boiler lost pressure. Again we had to call and another tradesman was sent out.Cottages.com were very good getting the problems sorted out, but the inconvenience it caused us was not what we wanted on our break. Although the cottage was predominantly clean, a closer look revealed a lot of dust on things like the cooker hood and skirting boards.Shame as if we hadn't had all the problems we would have recommended the cottage
