It is quietly situated in the picturesque village of Thornthwaite on the slopes of Whinlatter Forest, which is renowned for its mountain biking tracks and lovely forest trails. The property is surrounded by stunning scenery and lies 3 miles to the west of the popular market town of Keswick, where you will find a wealth of tourist attractions and amenities. There is a good bus service to both Keswick and Workington. The village stands 1 mile from Bassenthwaite Lake, great for water sports and fishing. Bike storage available. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 1 mile.

Lovely cottage, ideal location with a less than 10 minute drive into Keswick. Rooms were clean on arrival, bed and sofas comfy. Shower pressure was low but usable. Dogs next door could be noisy at times but not unbearable or a nuisance. Would stay again.

Perfect place to stay Clean, comfortable Everything you'd ever want in the cottage Fully stocked kitchen from kitchen roll to baking tins Huge comfortable bed Large shower TV, Radio, WI Fi, Fridge, Large Freezer, Dishwasher, Iron & ironing board, Hairdryer, Recycling bins, Electric fire, Storage heaters, Loads of plug sockets, Opposite a forest, quiet location, but just a very short walk to bus stop. 100% place to stay. Lovely walks & lakes in immediate area. Own parking right outside the cottage.
