The Rocking Lodge offers a peaceful and secluded stay with beautiful views, ideal for exploring the Lake District. Guests appreciate the quiet location, the well-equipped kitchen, and the cosy atmosphere, though some find the space a bit tight. The unique rocking feature adds charm, despite being noisy for some.
Several reviews mention a need for better cleaning, with reports of spider webs, a damp feel, and general untidiness. The cleanliness appears to be below average, impacting guest satisfaction.
The location is highly praised for its beauty, privacy, and proximity to the Lake District's attractions. It serves as a great base for exploring the area, despite some difficulties in finding the property initially.
Mixed feedback on comfort, with some guests finding the lodge cosy and others noting issues with the bed and noise from creaking floors. The overall comfort level is average, with room for improvement.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-stocked kitchen and adequate amenities. However, maintenance issues like leaks, squeaky floors, and poor-quality pans detract from the experience. The small fridge and lack of freezer space are also noted.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

An excellent base for the north lakes. Lodge set on its own beyond other properties so did take bit of locating. Very warm, cosy and ideal for single traveller. Fridge bit small but other facilities good. I would definitely stay again.

A good little cabin for the price, very small but the location was very beautiful. We didnt receive check in instructions and the host did not reply until the next day when I asked for them which made check in more stresful than it should have been. Facilities are good but the bed is quite old and makes you roll to one side. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
