Built in the early 19th century as two separate cottages, Lund Cottage has undergone total refurbishment. It has an ’upside down’ layout with an airy living area, kitchen upstairs and bedrooms downstairs. It offers a luxuriously comfy, well appointed holiday home full of character, including original oak beams and an attractive fireplace with coal-effect gas fire for cosy winter nights.

A traditional upstairs downstairs cottage with every possible piece of equipment and so close to all local amenities. Top tip - If you are friendly with the neighbours at the back, you can even share their driveway outside for unpacking and loading up.A wonderfully comfortable and well equipped cottage all round.

The cottage is very central. When we arrived we had trouble getting our luggage in the property as there was two large cars parked in the space outside the door. As the cottage is on a narrow quite busy road we ended up being peeped at many times when parked up, unloading the car, which wasn’t a good start. Once we got in there was a lot of nice things about the cottage but the bad outweighed the good. The place is quite grubby and really needs a serious clean. We cleaned splashes off the fridge, bin and fireplace. The shower downstairs really needs resealing and the bathroom needs quite a bit of work doing on it. The water flow in the upstairs toilet was terrible and it takes many flushes to get rid of toilet paper. Our main problem was the couches, they were very uncomfortable with no padding. Luckily the bed was comfy so we slept alright. The windows were hard work to open which we needed to do as it was hot. There is a lot that could be done with this cottage to make it more desirable but as it is we would not return.
