Peel Wyke is a delightful, two bedroom, semi-detached bungalow, which offers a light and airy feel, as well as panoramic fell views from a picture window over the town to Grisedale, Newlands and Causey Pike. It benefits from a quiet location in a convenient residential area of Keswick. The rear garden is paved and provides a private space to relax, unwind and enjoy the spectacular sunsets after walking the fells.
The bungalow has a cosy and relaxing living room and a nice bright kitchen/dining room with fantastic views over the hills. It is ideal for couples or families seeking a convenient base with access to all amenities. It is just 10 minutes’ walk from the town centre, Keswick’s parks, Derwentwater, the Theatre by the Lake and the leisure pool. Comfortable and well-equipped, the property has a great old fashioned cosiness, and makes an ideal base from which to explore this superb part of the Lake District, whether on foot, bicycle or by car. The Lake District was awarded World Heritage status in 2018 and really is the perfect destination for those who love to be outdoors. There are a wonderful variety of walks available right from the door and a good local bus service to take you further. Shop and pub ½ mile.
Please note that the drive to Peel Wyke is quite steep so please check there is sufficient clearance under your car, particularly if it has a long wheelbase or is heavily loaded.

On arrival. Front unkempt weeds around front door. If you have children I don't think the front door or side panel is safety glass. Carpets need replacing. Dirty between units in kitchen. Bathroom doesn't have mirror or a grab rail in bathroom. Beds hard. Bedding and towels good. Good WiFi. Plenty of utensils in kitchen. Nice view from window over the hills. Wouldn't stay again.

Peel wyke is in a good location in easy walking distance from Keswick town centre and the convention. Parking is good on the road outside but the driveway is very steep so we didn't park on it.The best thing about the property is the lovely big window in the dining room with amazing views over the town and fells. The beds are comfortable and the linens good and clean. There is plenty of room for 4 people.The main issue we have with the property is that it is rather neglected. The garden has been abandoned and is full of weeds. Inside needs a good deep clean including carpets. The lounge smells, not badly but does need carpets and upholstery cleaning. The drawers were dusty and needed cleaning out before we put things in and some of the kitchen drawers were dirty. The bathroom window doesn't open., and the radiator in the bathroom is very rusty. This could be a lovely place to stay but it needs some attention
