The cottage is directly opposite Fitz Park and the River Greta and offers fabulous views over the river and surrounding fells. There are many walking and leisure opportunities from the doorstep which means you need not use your car. There is private parking available for one car

Just has an amazing week in Keswick staying at Shorley Lodge. A really nice house with large bedrooms and a comfortable lounge space. The added bonus of a private parking space makes this an ideal place to stay as parking on the streets of Keswick is very hit and miss. The road noise at night from the front is annoying if you sleep with the windows open like we do. The secondary glazing cuts out most of it if you don’t. Only criticism we have is the shower curtains as they end up sticking to you whilst showering. A minor detail in such a lovely house. We will be back next year !

We’ve just gotten back from a two week stay here. House was lovely, and clean. Much better fitted out kitchen than some I’ve stopped in previously. The only negative comments are the distance to the allocated parking space and the very steep steps to the rear of the property. My wife is disabled, with mobility issues. The location of the parking and access to the house did present a few problems for us. That said, we had a great time, but would need to weigh up the options the next time we visit due to accessibility.
