This traditional Lakeland cottage enjoys an excellent elevated position in Keswick town centre, on a quiet lane with very little traffic. It is by the footbridge over the River Greta and into Fitz Park, perfect if you have a dog. Everything you need is minutes away; in just 200 yards you can reach shops, restaurants and pubs. The cinema is in the town centre and the lovely Theatre by the Lake is just a short walk away. Valentine Cottage has gorgeous fell views to fall in love with, and is furnished and equipped to a high standard, with double glazing and central heating and constant hot water. The park has a children’s play area bowling, putting, tennis court and cricket pitch and plenty of open space. Keswick leisure centre with its gym is adjacent to the park. Beautiful peaceful Derwentwater with its launch and lakeside walks is in easy walking distance.

A nice cottage although we didn’t realise the access was quite challenging. I have some mobility issues and there were quite steep and uneven stairs from pavement up to door then another set of steps to get in. Didn’t find it very clean but more attention to details but overall acceptable. Decent linen and mattress topper but squeaky bed frame.?kitchen very well equipped , nice appliances. Good sink. Microwave and kettle on a very high shelf affair hard to reach and I am quite tall. Pleasant little garden with a beautiful blue hydrangea!!! But again very challenging set of steps. Last but not least very uncomfortable ‘sunken’ sofas need replacing. Very small TV. BUT the location is brilliant just minutes from town and car park.
