Please note: The twin bedroom ceiling is low and the bannister rail is slightly lower than normal - care to be taken.. A short walk will take you into the picturesque market town of Keswick, making this a great base to explore the north Lakeland Fells. Suitable for couples or families, the apartment is spacious with a bright and airy living room, complete with comfy sofas, and a well-equipped kitchen/dining room, for those hearty breakfasts to start your day. Set along a terrace row of similar traditional Lakeland property, the sash windows look out over the rooftops to the fells, including Skiddaw.
Walla Crag is perfectly situated to explore the Lake District. The market town of Keswick has an abundance of outdoor shops, restaurants and cafés, and there is also a plethora of walking and cycling opportunities nearby. Why not start your ascent on the infamous Cat Bells with a gentle crossing of Derwent Water on one of the cruises from Keswick Launch, or entertain the family at the many attractions that will capture their imagination close by. A whole host of outdoor activities can be found in the area, or for that special evening out, why not try one of the many fine dining restaurants, or catch a play at the Theatre By The Lake. For more traditional Lakeland nights, have a taste of the real ales that are served in the local pubs. Beach 24 miles. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

This is the second time we have stayed at Walla Crag. It is very well equipped and comfortable. It is in a very central location. Would definitely stay again for a third time.

This holiday home is very well equipped and it’s clean with comfortable beds. Both showers were good, although the downstairs one has a low ceiling so not for the tall people!! The only improvement I would make would be to add curtains to the bedrooms as there is a very bright security light from a property behind which shines in all night. Kind of irritating for those that sleep lightly. There was a nice selection of games to be played. A spare key in the lockbox would be handy for silly people like us who lock themselves out 😂. We would definitely return to this property. It has everything you need, and more!!
