Situated in the peaceful grounds of a working beef and sheep farm, this wonderful lodge has everything you need for an unforgettable holiday. The open plan design of the lodge gives a feeling of space with the living, dining and kitchen areas are combined to create a social hub. This lodge is ideal for couples and small families looking for a great base in the National Park. The master bedroom features a kingsize bed, stylish interior design and an en-suite shower room. Next door you’ll find a comfortable twin room and a separate family bathroom with large shower cubicle. Outside you have private decking, private parking and amazing fell views. The imposing Skiddaw offers a superb backdrop for your holiday.

You’re in a great location, just a mile from Bassenthwaite Lake and 1¼ miles from Bassenthwaite village, with an excellent pub serving a range of local cask ales and great food that bring a refreshing reward after a day of adventure in the countryside. Whether you like walking, hiking or cycling, you are never too far away from your next adventure. You have good access to plenty of walking and cycle routes nearby as well as more challenging fells including Skiddaw, Catbells, Latrigg and Blencathra to name a few.

Just 2½ miles away you’ll find the Lake District Wildlife Park with over a hundred species of wild animals, great fun for the family. Also nearby you’ll find the Lakes Distillery, producers of fine whisky, gin and vodka, offering tasting tours, always a hit with the adults. Just 7 miles away is the popular town of Keswick, on the shores or Derwent Water, with an abundance of dining and shopping experiences as well as a mix of cultural hotspots and tourist attractions. The Pencil Museum, home to the world’s largest pencil, the Theatre by the Lake, offering award winning arts and drama, and the mind-boggling world of The Puzzling Place, fun for all ages based on optical illusions, are all nearby.     A great spot for this lovely little cottage nestled in the backdrop of the mighty Skiddaw mountain, within easy reach of some great little towns in the northern lakes. Overall a fantastic place to stay, clean and comfortable.
