Upstairs takes you to three good-sized bedrooms. There is a master bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. There are also a king-size double and a single bedroom as well as a family bathroom to add to more flexibility throughout. The pretty village of Tirril is full of Lakeland charm and surrounded by undulating countryside. There is a small shop and traditional pub serving real ale and delicious bar meals, where you will receive a warm and inviting Cumbrian welcome. Pooley Bridge and Ullswater are close by, a lovely family day can be spent relaxing on the lake shore with a picnic, enjoying a cruise aboard a steamer or for the more energetic take part in outdoor pursuits, high and low-level walking and hiking, cycling, sailing and ghyll scrambling to name but a few. Historic Lowther castle and gardens with the Lost Castle, the biggest childrens outdoor adventure playground in Britain is near, as is Reghed Visitors Centre. The picturesque village of Pooley Bridge sits on the northerly edge of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. The name Pooley came to be due to the forming of a large pool, which was left by the fast flowing River Eamont, and the word Bridge was later added when a bridge, which is now 250 years old, was built over the river.
