Surrounded by beautiful countryside just outside of Bowness-on-Windermere is the spectacular Lake District house of High Lindeth. The perfect retreat to celebrate a special occasion, family get-together or to simply relish in the beauty of the Lakelands, this charming country house has it all. After parking up in the gravel driveway, step inside High Lindeth and discover your new home-from-home. Find the extensive sitting room which spans the breadth of the first floor offering plenty of space to curl up beside the feature fireplace with a good book picked off the shelf. The chef amongst the group will find great pleasure in preparing meals in the farmhouse kitchen, consisting of a series of quality appliances including a large range cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave, while the rest of the group can flick on the woodburner and prepare the dining table. Rainy days can be spent in the games room, complete with a TV and tabletop football which is sure to bring competition to the family! Across the first floor, there are three immaculate bedrooms to choose from, comprising of a super-king-size bedroom, a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin, each one enjoying plush furnishings and beds draped in white linen, with plenty of storage for your personal belongings. The ground floor also plays host to two sleeping quarters, with a super-king-size and twin bedroom with en-suite shower, offering guests flexible sleeping arrangements. Start your day within the enclosed garden, accompanied by your morning coffee as your canine companion stretches their legs or take a stroll down to Lake Windermere and catch the morning sunshine glimmer across the water. Windermere being the largest lake in England, it offers plenty of scenic wonders to explore, with opportunities for watersports and idyllic boat trips to explore more of Cumbria too. If you fancy a night off cooking then there are some wonderful restaurants in this corner of the Lake District including Gilpin Spice and the award-winning L'Enclume is roughly 30 minutes drive away – book early to make sure you don’t miss out! In Bowness there’s lots to keep the little members of the group happy with a family friendly pitch and putt golf course and the popular World of Beatrix Potter to explore, while the adults can find interest in the many gift shops and cafés dotted around the town. Further afield, plan day trips to Kendal where you can take advantage of the weekly outdoor market and daily indoor market where many local delights can be purchased. Make memories with loved ones at High Lindeth.
