About this property

Eden Vale, a rustic cottage is nestled in the lovely market town of Broughton-in-Furness, Cumbria. Perfect for family and friends, this abode makes a superb base for exploring Cumbria, and is home to a wealth of attractions and picturesque walks. Inside, an open-plan living space offers everything you need for a self-catered stay, including a fully-fitted kitchen, a dining area for catching up on the day’s adventures, and a sitting area for snuggling up by the warm fire, whilst watching movies with your loved ones. Full of character, the homely bedrooms invite you to rest on the plush beds, whilst the shower room offers space to clean off after a long day of adventures. Outside, you can spend the warmer months out on the south-facing patio, enjoying a cup of tea as your furry friends have a play around the lawn. If you can tear yourself away from your tranquil home, a short walk will bring you to Old Kings Head, Broughton Village Bakery and Broughton Newsagents, all ideal for grabbing some food out or picking up some local produce. A scenic excursion will bring you to Coniston Water, and nearby for the more avid explorers, there are the challenging hills of The Old Man of Coniston and Wetherlam. Take an adventure to the market town of Ulverston, or a little further, take a visit along the coastline to Ennerdale or venture higher to the magnificent Scafell Pike, the tallest point in England. Eden Vale is a perfect base for exploring the true beauty of Cumbria.

Ugley is a small village and civil parish in the non-metropolitan district of Uttlesford in Essex, England. It is about two miles north from Stansted Mountfitchet, and situated between Saffron Walden and Bishop's Stortford. Bishop’s Stortford is argued to be the first stretch of ‘proper’ countryside outside of North London. The village has seen a number of new developments built over the last 30 years, one of the most popular is Thorley Park. Bishop’s Park and Bishop’s Gate are also highly regarded, St Michael's Church is worth a visit, set above the old ford on the river at Windhill. The Rhodes Memorial Museum is in Netteswell House and is a collection of memorabilia and exhibits about the life of Cecil Rhodes, founder of Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Bishops Stortford Museum is run by the local history society and has archaeological finds and family history.
