Guests say

Pear Tree Cottage is highly praised for its welcoming atmosphere, stylish interiors, and well-maintained garden. It's situated in a friendly town, ideal for exploring the Lake District. Guests appreciate the on-site electric charger and the property's proximity to local amenities. Some concerns were raised about parking, the unconventional kitchen layout, and the request to strip beds before departure.

The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-presented, with only a few minor comments about end-of-season wear. The high standard of cleanliness contributes to the overall positive experience.

The location is generally well-regarded for its proximity to local shops and as a base for exploring the South Lakes area. However, some guests mentioned issues with parking and accessibility, slightly affecting the score.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a cozy sitting area and well-laid-out bedrooms. Some guests expressed a desire for more comfortable seating in the living room, and personal preferences regarding bedding were noted.

While the cottage is praised for its facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and electric charger, there are mixed feelings about the layout and maintenance issues like a non-working wood burner and lighting. Due to these mixed reviews, a definitive score cannot be provided.

The reviews do not consistently mention gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, and as such, it is not possible to accurately score the thoughtfulness of the property based on the available information.

Very stylishly decorated, whilst being very comfortable and cosy. The owners really have thought of absolutely everything, the cottage is very well equipped and it was the perfect place for our family to spend some quality time together.

cobwebs and multiple bulbs out, toilet seat wrongly sized, small window pane with hole in stairwell window, bathroom floor tiles broken. No welcome basket( a pint of milk and a couple of coffee pods to get started would have been perfect ), nice setting but difficult to find due to its setting at the back of the cottages fronting the road.

Since we found it on the site, we were looking forward to staying there. Very stylish decor and charming touches on the wall. (We like mountains so we want the same posters now) As we have teenagers they want own spaces, but can be gathering at dining space and island kitchen. This cottage was perfect for us. We went different places in Lake District by car and walked to the beach during our stay. We found the footpath just off road outside of cottage where can lead to the bottom of the main road. So we didn’t to have to walk main road with our dog. It was good exploring around the beach and town centre on the sunny day. Unfortunately we had a raining day (as usual in Lake District). We just stayed at cottage and had a relaxing time. Only my personal choice but main bed mattress was too soft and so were pillows. The duvet was too warm for me. Unfortunately I couldn’t sleep well. I wish I could have a choice of summer duvets and different pillows. Maybe only me, because my husband said ok and kids said beds were good. Overall we enjoyed cottage holiday in Lake District.
