Beech Hill is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its quietness, lovely views, and proximity to Kendal. The property is described as well-equipped, warm, clean, and comfortable, with a selection of art and books. While parking is a short walk away, it is manageable. Some guests noted issues with garden maintenance and accessibility, particularly the steps to the rear area.

The property consistently receives high remarks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being spotless and well-maintained.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views, easy access to Kendal, and convenience for exploring the Lake District, making it a desirable spot for visitors.

Guests find the property comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere and adequate facilities for a pleasant stay. The presence of a single toilet and steep steps are minor concerns for some.

While the property is generally well-equipped, there are repeated mentions of the rear garden steps needing repair and the back gate being inaccessible, which affects the overall facilities score.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to score this category.

This was our 2nd stay at Beech Hill, the first was in 2022. We didnt spot any changes. The property is still quiet, well equipped, nicely decorated, warm, clean, and comfortable, with lovely views and super easy access to the town. Parking is a small issue as it's a minute or 2 walk from the property, but we've always found a spot using the supplied permit and it's never poured with rain as we've packed or unpacked. We walked into Kendal a few times and also visited Windermere, Coniston, Sedbergh, Dent, etc. We did day trips every day and so didn't use the rear outside area. The slate steps are quite steep and might possibly be slippy when wet or in winter, but there's a handrail and I had no difficulty putting the rubbish out through the back gate (which, incidentally, doesnt currently close properly and so can't be locked). My wife missed having a full length mirror, but for me, I can't think of anything I needed that wasn't there. The internet bandwidth was good so the kids were happy; the tv could be bigger, I suppose, but it'll depend on what you're used to. I really appreciated the choice of art throughout (Abbot Hall art gallery is well worth a visit and you can walk there easily enough from the house) and theres a nice selection of books & music, too. And lastly, Kendal Council's refuge management are incredible and it does make managing the kitchen a lot easier - all waste goes in one bag and they sort out the recyclables; I wish my local council did that. Thanks for a great autumn holiday, we hope to be back again in a few years time.

Second trip here as it is near our son and family. House is excellent for our needs and well equipped. The views over Kendal are fantastic. There are a fair number of steps involved especially unloading the car to the house and the one toilet is upstairs .
