Local train and bus services give access within 10 minutes to Windermere & Kendal. Staveley is an ideal base for walkers, with easy access to the fells, including the Kentmere Horseshoe. The village itself is home to some good amenities, including a convenience store and pub, along with attractions such as the Staveley Mill Yard is a former wood turning mill at the heart of the village.
