Guests appreciate the property's proximity to the village centre and public transport, making it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District. The apartment is well-equipped and maintained, with fresh linens and kitchen supplies provided weekly. While the flat is noted to be small, it is well-decorated and offers everything needed for a pleasant stay.

Guests consistently mention the loft's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and well-maintained. Regular provision of fresh linens and kitchen cleaning items contributes to the high standard of cleanliness.

The location is frequently highlighted as a major advantage, with the property being close to the village centre, public transport, and offering easy access to walks and the wider Lake District.

The loft is described as comfortable and cosy, although one review mentioned the quilts being too thick for warmer nights. Overall, the comfort level is deemed high.

Facilities are well-regarded, with guests finding the apartment equipped with everything needed for their stay. However, no specific mention of maintenance issues or the need for repairs suggests that facilities are in good order.

While guests are satisfied with the provision of fresh linens and kitchen supplies, there is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. It should be noted that while such amenities are appreciated, they are not guaranteed.

Enjoyed reclining in the sofa after a day of walking. A variety of walks from the front door. Easy access to Coniston and Ambleside by bus. One of the hob rings is not working as mentioned by a previous reviewer but wouldn’t stop us from staying there again.

The flat was very clean, everything needed was already provided, no issues whatsoever. Would definitely recommend as long as you’re okay with stairs!

It is close to the village centre and less than 5 mins walk to Tourist Information Office and bus terminal (buses to Ambleside every 30 mins for £2 single journey). From Ambleside you can travel up and down Windermere by ferry or bus for a reasonable cost. From the cottage there are numerous short walks. The cottage itself is clean and well equipped. I’d have no hesitation recommending it and I’d definitely like to return some time.
