The location is highly praised for its stunning views and quiet walks, with easy access to local amenities and pubs. The proximity to nature and the convenience for dog owners are particularly appreciated.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, highlighting the cosy atmosphere and comfortable beds. The enclosed garden is a plus for dog owners, although some guests mentioned creaky floors and doors that wouldn't stay shut.
The property is well-equipped, with an EV charger and solar/battery/heat pump setup. However, some guests experienced issues with the car charger and induction hob, and noted a lack of basic supplies like washing up liquid and bin bags.
While guests mentioned a welcome pack of birdseed, there is insufficient information to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host, such as consistent provision of gifts or additional touches that enhance the stay. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such amenities will always be provided.

A charming little community tucked up in the stunning Lake District National Park. A fantastic hidden gem, Chapel Stile is situated at the bottom of a magnificent valley, bordered on one side by the River Brathay, surrounded by breathtaking landscape, and boasting wonderful slate and stone structures. The village features a historic church built in the middle of the nineteenth century as well as a café, a pub, and a local store that has been around for well over a century. Chapel Stile is a fantastic starting point for touring this National Park because it provides quick access to many interesting vistas and fells. You must visit the charming neighbouring community of Elterwater, where you must simply stand on the Skelwith Bridge and soak in the scenery. Ambleside and Kendal, two wonderful Lake District towns that are close by and have a tonne to offer in terms of vistas, architecture, and activities, can be reached in a short amount of time by car. Visit Bowness-on-Windermere if you enjoy the great outdoors; it's great for families and offers fantastic lake activities.

Everything worked perfectly. When the temperature dropped outside, the heating clicked in just nicely. My only maintenance feedback is that the inside front door needs a small squirt of WD40 on the hinges

Well positioned for an enjoyable holiday

Warm and cosy. The welcome âpackâ of birdseed was used on the bird table which was visited by flocks of woodland birds during our stay. Lovely! We would stay here again, but next time would bring washing up liquid, bin bags, kitchen roll and foil (as not provided). The garden would benefit from more love, as picking up the previous tenantsâ dog faeces was not a good first impression, neither was the overgrown brambles and grass, which diminished an otherwise pleasant spot. Chapel Stile is a hidden gem of the Lake District, with great local Pubs (Wainwright Inn and Britannia Inn) within short walks from the property. Friendly local Co-op in the village with Cafe above for breakfast and lunch- everything you need pre and post walks. For those with arthritic knees or dogs, walks in either direction to Elterwater or the Langdale valley (to Dungeon Ghyll) are manageable with superb views.
