The house has everything you would want to go away, the only negatives things we feel for a large group were the limited coffee pods and a single oven, I do feel you are expected to take everything, there were only a couple of bin bags, no washing up liquid or bristle pad. The internet didn’t work, the owner did look into this straight away and the TV aerial stopped working on our last night. These are all minor things which can be resolved and we would definitely return to the house, we had a wonderful stay.

Guests want for absolutely nothing! Even in the kind of inclement weather we encountered (several rather wet days!) there is so much to enjoy in the house that we almost didn’t notice the rain. From table football to pool games, to many a happy hour baking in the wonderful kitchen, we were fantastically entertained. A huge credit to the hosts, who have been so very thoughtful in creating a holiday home that truly caters for all – homely and inviting but also feels really special. They really have thought of everything! The house provides the perfect base for exploring Ambleside (which has so much to offer) and is a short hop to the likes of Grasmere, Coniston and Windermere – a true Lakes experience. We had a wonderful holiday and couldn’t recommend Garth Hill House highly enough.
