Particularly liked the covered parking, where we happily left the car for most of our visit exploring the surrounding area by foot and bus.

It had everything we needed and we all literally felt 'at home'. We love visiting the Lakes and Ambleside is a great base town fir exploring from. We would definitely recommend this property and will hopefully be back ourselves soon.

It was well equipped except for some kitchen items - viz : no washing up liquid although a scourer was supplied. Not all items can be cleaned in a dishwasher and it's not always convenient. We used the handwash instead! No rinse aid for the dishwasher. We have stayed in many self-catering properties over the years and these items have been supplied in addition to, often, a food welcome pack with tea, coffee etc. It almost seamed mean not to do this. Also the kettle lid needs replacing as it was in 2 parts with the bottom falling into the kettle.
