A short stroll from the centre of the popular town of Ambleside where you’ll find shops, restaurants and traditional Lakeland pubs to enjoy, yet tucked away down a quiet street with a great range of walks direct from your door. Ambleside provides a wonderful opportunity to escape and experience Lake District life at the northern end of Lake Windermere. Take a trip on a traditional steamer from Waterhead Pier to Lakeside or Bowness and enjoy a leisurely cruise surrounded by the spectacular backdrop of Wordsworth country. Grasmere, Windermere, Thirlmere, Derwentwater and Keswick are all close by.

    lovely place but needs a good clean . Also needs a little work done a round place.it said enclosed garden but both sides where open needs fence both sides.

    Lovely location and excellent views but very neglected. Very much in need of some TLC and maintenance. No instructions for heating or oven. Freezer so frosted up it was unusable. It is also located at the back of a very dirty garage with the dirty washing machine and dryer. Very small fridge; glad we were not a party of 4 or more. Heater/towel rail in shower room not working. No blind or mirror in shower room. Thermostat broken on bedroom radiator. No full length mirror. Information pack very poor and woefully out of date. No tourist information provided. No welcome pack. No provisions i.e. kitchen roll, kitchen cloth, cooking oil; not even any salt or spare toilet rolls. Make sure you bring absolutely everything with you. How does this property deserve 4 stars??

    Lovely accomodation, very roomy and great for Ambleside. Parking was a bit difficult and I should imagine if there was a few cars it would be difficult. We did have problems with the hot water and it seemed once the tank of water has been used you have to wait a while for it to re heat. Also the heating was off a few mornings. You also need to take everything with you such as oil, herbs and bin liners so I'm glad I did, as if you don't want to move the car each time and its a steep hill to get back up from the shops!We all did have a lovely time, thankyou
