Chartfield benefits from a very well-presented living accommodation, which offers a separate snug complete with a cosy wood burner, large TV and a comfy reclining leather suite. In addition, the main living room boasts a pleasant gas coal effect fire, a TV and music system with CD and Bluetooth connectivity. As well as a separate dining room with plenty of room for eight, there is a well-equipped breakfast kitchen with all the expected facilities along with a small TV and DAB radio so the chef does not miss out on any of the entertainment. There are two double bedrooms (one en-suite), two single bedrooms (one with shower and sink), in addition to a ground floor twin bedroom (which has a small shower room located 15 metres away). This offers flexibility to guests, families of different generations, and friends holidaying together, making sure all will benefit from this delightful accommodation.
There is also a small gated outdoor seating area ideal for capturing the sun on fair weather days, and a place to keep a few bikes. Two parking permits are provided with every booking, one for local on street parking and one that covers the local car park as well as over 36 National Park car parks in and around the Lake District, equating to a significant saving on days out. Windermere is always popular with visitors and offers a thriving main street of independent retailers alongside cafés, restaurants and traditional pubs. A stroll down the hill into Bowness brings you to Lake Windermere, where you can enjoy the amenities of this charming lakeside town, or perhaps take a steamer ride along the lake. Centrally placed to enjoy the area, guests will find, whether by car or on foot, that there is much to enjoy, both close at hand or a short drive away. Walkers looking for a gentle amble will not be disappointed by the stunning scenery, or simply sit by the lake and enjoy the views over the water to the fells beyond. Hardier ramblers will find routes from the door to enjoy throughout the year. Golfing parties will find a choice of courses within a short drive, with Windermere itself just a couple of miles away, and Silverdale, Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal and Appleby all accessible in less than an hour. Flexible accommodation which suited our three generation family stay very well - the excellent bathroom facilities were a real bonus! Nicely fitted out with good quality china and cutlery and comfortable bedding.Would definitely recommend.

Lovely property, which included all bedding and towels. Also, plenty of cutlery and crockery, as well as washing up liquid, sponges, cloths and dish washer tablets. Games, books and DVDs if you wanted them. 4 showers in the property and 3 toilets (one in an en-suite), so no queues for the loo! Lovely large dining table, where we also played games in the evenings. Also a small dining table in the kitchen. Two nice sitting areas with TVs.Plenty of room to not get under everyone's feet! Just off the main area of Windermere, where there are lots of shops, cafes and a couple of supermarkets. Short drive (5 minutes) to Bowness on Windermere, which is a slightly bigger town with lots more shoos and restaurants. Also you can go on a ferry to the other side of Windermere, boat trips to other places around the lake, or hire your own little boat. You can also book to go Kayaking or paddle boarding. Beatrix Potter attraction is very good, and a lot of other attractions are very close in a car.
