A high-end honeypot for discerning Lakelovers! The epitome of Lakeland luxury with all the character and cosiness of a traditional rural home, Honeywood House offers a tasteful and tranquil escape for six in sensational surroundings. Just a scenic stroll from the centre of gorgeous Grasmere village, yet pleasantly tucked away to provide that ever so sought-after seclusion, you'll be fully relaxed here, and ready to explore the best the Lakes has to offer.
Arriving at this striking slate-built and substantial property, circumscribed by fine hill scenery, you know you're in for a holiday to remember straight away. A charming building to match the picturesque character of pretty Grasmere, Honeywood House sits on the fringe of this beloved village, perfectly balanced between centrality and peace. Inside, the fine Farrow & Ball décor and elegant furnishings are complemented by excellent facilities, including a high quality contemporary kitchen, where you can rustle up sustaining meals for your party's adventures, and three sumptuous en-suites with monsoon showers. One comes with a free-standing bath tub, too, for some serious unwinding!
Situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park is the lovely village of Grasmere, probably best known as the home of William Wordsworth, a place he once described as "The most loveliest spot that man hath found". Any visit to Grasmere needs to include The Grasmere Gingerbread shop, where the Wilson family have been making gingerbread for over 60 years. Also in the village are a number of shops, pubs, a church which dates back to the 13th century and Grasmere Lake, plus Grasmere Sports takes place every August, where you can watch participants compete in a variety of sports, including Cumberland Wrestling. Just five miles away is the town of Ambleside and Lake Winderemere where you will find shops, pubs, restaurants and the 17th century Bridge House, which is one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District. Cruises, boat trips and watersports can all be enjoyed on Lake Windermere and the towns of Windermere and Keswick are also within driving distance. Grasmere is a wonderful base for your Lake District retreat.

We had no problems during our stay and found the location an excellent base not only for looking around Grasmere, but also for sightseeing around the Lake District whether by car or by bus.

Easy walk to Grasmere village from the property. Would definitely recommend!

Real luxury accommodation and equipped with everything you need. The tvs are difficult to use especially in the main bedroom. I think a bbq should be included. Apart from these minor points it was a perfect holiday house in the Lake District. X
