Guests say

The real fire and wildlife sightings add to its charm. Some concerns over cleanliness and maintenance were noted, but overall guests had enjoyable stays.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests have expressed concerns over cleanliness, mentioning issues such as damp linen, uncleaned ovens, and the presence of flies. However, these seem to be isolated incidents rather than a consistent problem.

The location is highly praised for its breathtaking views, direct access to walks, and proximity to local pubs and restaurants. The scenic drive over Kirkstone Pass and the abundance of wildlife add to its appeal.

The cottage is generally considered comfortable, with a real fire and quality furnishings mentioned positively. Some guests found the sofas uncomfortable, but the beds received compliments for their comfort.

Facilities are well-regarded with a few suggestions for improvement such as larger kitchenware and more cutlery. Maintenance issues like a broken gate and shower button were noted, but the property is otherwise well-equipped.

While guests have had pleasant stays, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The cottage was in a beautiful area and the views where absolutely stunning. The only down sides to the cottage was that the leather setter in the front lounge area was not very comfy and needed to replaced as it was beyond its sell by date. It was also a shame that the lounge area at the back of the property was not very user friendly. It could do with a larger Tele and a more comfortable sitting area. The room was a stunning room and it seemed to be wasted. After saying all that we will be back next year.

No American style fridge freezer although this wasn't a deal breaker. Views are stunning and fire made a cozy evening
