Just 8 miles away is Ullswater, where you can enjoy walks and picnics by the lakeshore, or take the Ullswater Steamer for a tour where you can see the impressive Aira Force Waterfall. From here there are also a variety of hills perfect for keen walkers, such as Arthur’s Pike and Loadpot Hill.

Enter through the porch into the cheerful living room, with a wood burner perfect for evenings by the fire, and a 32-inch flat-screen TV with a DVD player and various DVDs for a family movie night. Prepare delicious meals in the kitchen which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher, before heading into the social dining room with a farmhouse dining table and chairs which seat six comfortably.
